how they work

How the rankings are calculated

The PSA ranks players by average points: the points from their best recent tournament results, divided by the number of events, with a minimum divisor so that a few big wins don't outweigh a full season.

Bigger events such as the World Championship and Platinum tournaments are worth the most points.

schedule

When they're published

The PSA updates its rankings regularly through the season as tournaments finish.

In the app: the rankings are checked twice a day, straight from the PSA. The PSA's data doesn't include a publication date, so the app shows the date it first saw the current ranking.
